The Etowah County Beekeepers Association meets in Attalla, Alabama USA.   All beekeepers in the Attalla, Gadsden, Etowah and surrounding area are welcome to join our group.   The only requirement to join is that you have an interest in honeybees and or beekeeping.

We meet the first Thursday of every month at 6:30 P.M. in the 

Carnes recreation Center

BEEKEEPING CLASSES

Beginning Beekeeping

The next Beginning Beekeeping Class for the Gadsden/ Etowah County Area will be held at Carnes Recreation Center in Attalla, Al.    Registration and overview will be held from 6-8 p.m. Jan. 16.   Classes will be on Jan. 23, Jan. 30, Feb.6, Feb. 13, Feb.23, Feb. 27 and Mar 5.    There will be an open hive field day also to be announced.    The cost will be $85.00 which includes books, handouts, refreshments and door prizes that will be given away at each class.     Limited number of seats are available and you may pre-register by calling David Kelton, Lookout Mountain Honey Bees at 256-523-4767 or 256-441-2887 or email us at:  lookoutmtnhoneybees@tds.net.

How to raise your own queens

There will be a class on how to raise your own queens in March but no definite dates have been decided yet.   Please check back here of contact David Kelton at: lookoutmtnhoneybees@tds.net.
